In June of 1999, a US Department of Labor report indicated that workers are more likely to die in motor vehicle crashes than in other job-related incidents...1,300 workers died in 1996, and another 45,439 were injured.
The Defensive Driving Course (DDC) is a comprehensive awareness course covering road hazards, following distances, braking effectiveness and other common driving issues. Stebbins Safety Services offers the DDC for corporations, as well as individuals wishing to learn more about defensive driving. The DDC 6, DDC8, and DDC-PTD courses qualify for the following:
There is an additional fee for each participant wanting to have the certificate indicate that the course qualifies for insurance reduction, or to obtain the active DMV point reduction.This fee is paid to have the DMV records changed.

DDC VAN This course is designed for drivers of vans or delivery vehicles. Instruction will focus on teaching drivers how to handle congested downtown traffic, pedestrians, parking, docking, customer contact, and professionalism. The topics to be covered include:
DDC Ambulance This course is designed for drivers of ambulance or fire rescue-type vehicles. Focus will be on teaching drivers to anticipate, recognize and respond to driving hazards in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Ambulance operators learn defensive driving techniques for almost any situation: night driving, hydroplaning, handling other drivers' reactions, city driving, fatigue and stress, etc.
